People familiar with the matter: Google may face second EU fine in the coming months

Online reported that three people familiar with the matter said that in the coming months, Google may be subject to a second fine under the EU's landmark technology regulations, and the European Commission is currently drafting a decision. As the EU's competition enforcement agency, the European Commission issued a € 2.95 billion fine to Google earlier this month for unfairly favoring its own display advertising technology services and strengthening the core position of its advertising exchange AdX, harming the interests of competitors and online publishers. The second looming fine is related to allegations in March that Google prioritized its vertical search engines such as Google Shopping, Google Flights and Google Hotels over related features from competitors.
