OpenAI yesterday committed to spending $500 billion to purchase 10 gigawatts of custom-designed chips from Broadcom, and previously committed to spending $1 trillion to work with Nvidia, AMD and Oracle. But analysts Adrian Cox and Stefan Abrudan said in a note to clients: "This typical representative of the AI boom may have difficulty recruiting new subscribers."
