Rep. Begich promotes Bitcoin Reserve Plan "

Internet reports that Rep. Begich and Republican Senator Cynthia Loomis of Wyoming jointly proposed the "Promoting Innovation, Technology and Competitiveness through the National Act to Optimize Investment"(referred to as the "Bitcoin Act") last year. If passed, the bill would establish Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset-a move that builds on President Donald Trump's executive order to create a permanent Bitcoin reserve similar to a national gold reserve. The bill outlines a plan to use a "budget neutral strategy" to acquire 1 million bitcoins over five years. The bill extends Trump's executive order that prohibits the sale of bitcoins and other crypto assets confiscated to the U.S. government through criminal or civil litigation and placed in separate "reserves."
