A South Korean woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for stealing cryptocurrency assets from her boyfriend while he slept, the Internet reported. According to Jeju District Court documents, the woman used her boyfriend's sleep to unlock his phone and transfer about $500,000 in encrypted assets. Prosecutors pointed out that the defendant planned and carried out the theft after learning that her boyfriend held a large amount of encrypted assets. The court found that the defendant's conduct was highly premeditated and serious and handed down a severe sentence.
