Bank of America: 26% of respondents believe Basent will become the next Federal Reserve chairman
Internet reports that Bank of America's July global fund manager survey showed that U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessant is the most popular candidate to replace Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. President Trump is expected to nominate a new Federal Reserve chairman in the second half of 2025, while Powell's term ends in May 2026. The survey showed that 26% of respondents believe that Basent will become the next chairman of the Federal Reserve, followed by 17% support Walsh, 14% support Waller, and 7% believe that Hassett will be elected.
