Xpeng Aug deliveries breakdown: Mona M03 maintains strong performance, G7 contributes more volume

Deliveries of the Mona M03 electric sedan remained robust, while the G7 SUV began contributing more volume, helping Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) achieve a record 37,709 deliveries last month.
The Mona M03 delivered 15,334 units in August, marking its 12th consecutive month exceeding 10,000 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
This represents a 2,865.96 percent year-on-year increase, though a 2.69 percent decrease from July's 15,758 units.
The electric sedan contributed 40.66 percent of Xpeng's August deliveries, down slightly from July's 42.92 percent share.
From January to August, the Mona M03 delivered 117,443 units, accounting for 43.24 percent of Xpeng's cumulative deliveries during the period.
Launched on August 27, 2024, the Mona M03 currently offers six variants with starting prices ranging from RMB 119,800 ($16,820) to RMB 139,800.
Cumulative deliveries of the Mona M03 reached 166,052 units by the end of August, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Beyond the Mona M03, Xpeng's current lineup includes the P7+ sedan, G6 SUV, G7, G9 SUV, X9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), and P7 series sedans.
The G7, launched in early July, delivered 6,815 units in August, making it Xpeng's second-highest monthly performer.
G7 deliveries in August increased by 23.26 percent compared to July's 5,529 units, contributing 18.07 percent to Xpeng's total August deliveries.
The SUV launched on July 3, with deliveries commencing on July 7.
G6 deliveries in August totaled 6,560 units, down 4.55 percent year-on-year but up 11.47 percent month-on-month.
The SUV contributed 17.40 percent of Xpeng's August deliveries, making it the company's third-best-selling model.
From January to August, the G6 delivered 50,016 units, an 84.92 percent year-on-year increase.
Xpeng launched updated versions of the G6 and G9 SUVs on March 13, featuring upgraded configurations and reduced pricing.
The P7+ delivered 4,847 units in August, contributing 12.85 percent to Xpeng's monthly deliveries and ranking as the company's fourth-highest selling model for the month. The volume represents a 13.66 percent decrease from July's 5,614 units.
Xpeng launched the P7+ on November 7, 2024, positioning it as a mid-to-large sedan targeting the family car market.
The X9 had 1,654 deliveries in August, marking a 14.07 percent year-on-year increase but a 4.34 percent decrease from July.
On April 15, Xpeng launched the 2025 X9 and plans to launch the MPV in Europe in the second half of this year.
From January to August, the X9 delivered 14,352 units, a 10.59 percent year-on-year decline.
Xpeng is expected to roll out an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant of the X9 in the fourth quarter, which appeared in a Chinese regulatory filing last month.
The G9 delivered 1,531 units in August, down 47.02 percent year-on-year and down 28.62 percent month-on-month.
From January to August, the G9 delivered 19,657 units, marking a 13.30 percent year-on-year increase.
The P7 series delivered 968 units in August. Xpeng launched the new-generation P7 on August 27 and commenced nationwide deliveries on August 28.
