Geely sees record-high sales in Sept, driven by strong performance of Geely Galaxy

Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) saw record sales last month as the momentum of its sub-brand Geely Galaxy continued.
The automaker sold 273,125 vehicles in September, up 35.24 percent year-on-year and up 9.18 percent month-on-month, according to a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing today.
The robust growth was primarily driven by Geely Galaxy, which sold a record 120,868 vehicles in September -- a 131.06 percent increase year-on-year and 9.22 percent month-on-month.
Originally launched as a new product lineup on February 23, 2023, Geely Galaxy was elevated to a standalone brand on March 3 this year.
Sales of the Geometry lineup have been consolidated under Geely Galaxy since October 2024.
Including Geely Galaxy, the Geely brand recorded September sales of 221,966 units, up 43 percent year-on-year.
The Zeekr brand sold 18,257 vehicles in September, down 14.42 percent year-on-year but up 3.58 percent month-on-month.
Lynk & Co sold 32,902 vehicles in September, marking a 27.51 percent increase year-on-year and a 20.89 percent rise month-on-month.
Geely Auto achieved record battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales of 99,516 units in September, up 54.56 percent year-on-year and up 6.59 percent month-on-month.
Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales reached a record 65,685 units in September, surging 145.58 percent year-on-year and up 21.67 percent month-on-month.
Geely Auto exported 40,665 vehicles in September, up 3.78 percent year-on-year and up 12.72 percent month-on-month.
Its domestic sales in China reached 232,460 units in September, rising 42.82 percent year-on-year and 8.58 percent month-on-month.
