News said that Apple is considering introducing external artificial intelligence for Siri."

Internet reports that Apple (AAPL.O) is considering using external artificial intelligence to fix Siri, a major reversal. Apple is considering adopting Anthropic or OpenAI technology to support Siri. According to people familiar with the matter, Apple has held discussions with the two companies about Siri's use of their large language model. Apple asked the two companies to train versions of their models to run tests on Apple's cloud infrastructure. Currently, most of Apple's AI functions are achieved through self-developed technology, which the company calls "Apple Foundation Models" and plans to launch a new version of voice assistant based on this technology in 2026. But Apple has not yet made a final decision and is still considering its own model, and a competing project internally called LLM Siri, which uses an internal model, is still actively under development.
