SEC delays decision on multiple crypto ETF applications

Internet reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision to approve the application of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs by Truth Social, a social platform owned by Trump Media and Technology Group. According to documents filed Monday, the SEC extended the approval deadline for the Truth Social ETF to October 8, a regular process for the agency to evaluate dozens of cryptocurrency ETF proposals. Also postponed on the same day include CoinShares Litecoin ETF, CoinShares Ripple ETF and 21Shares Ripple ETF, and the decision period for these products was extended to late October. "The committee believes it is necessary to extend the review time to fully evaluate the content of the proposal and related issues," the SEC said in the filing.
