Xpeng exports over 5,000 EVs in Sept

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) exported over 5,000 vehicles in September, representing a 79.4 percent year-on-year growth and a 65.8 percent increase from August, the company announced today on Weibo.
From January to September, Xpeng's exports totaled 29,723 units, a 125.2 percent increase year-on-year, the company said.
Xpeng disclosed these figures while reposting rankings shared by local automotive media outlet Yiche, which showed the company exported 5,004 vehicles in September, ranking 17th among automakers exporting the most vehicles from China.
Chery (HKG: 9973) topped the list with 138,714 units, followed by BYD (HKG: 1211) with 69,258 units. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) ranked eighth with 19,287 units.
Xpeng delivered 41,581 vehicles in September, marking its third consecutive month of record-high deliveries. This represents a 94.74 percent year-on-year increase and a 10.27 percent growth compared to August.
The company has significantly intensified its overseas market expansion efforts over the past two years, aiming for overseas markets to contribute half of its sales within the next decade.
To date, Xpeng has entered nearly 50 countries and regions, and last month commenced localized production in Europe.
On October 13, Xpeng announced the start of exports for its Mona M03 electric sedan -- one of its most popular models -- which is expected to drive further growth in overseas markets.
The Mona M03's first available markets are in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The electric sedan delivered 131,989 units from January to September, accounting for 42.14 percent of Xpeng's total deliveries during the same period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
