The world's first computing satellite named after BAYC was successfully launched

Internet reports that on May 14, 2025 at 12:12 Beijing time, National Satellite Aerospace successfully used the Long March 2D carrier rocket to launch 12 satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, forming the "Space Computing Constellation 021" mission. These satellites have entered designated orbits as planned, marking the successful launch of the world's first space computing constellation and opening a new chapter in "space computing." This mission is the first launch of the National Satellite Aerospace Space "Star Computing Program" and the first constellation of the "Three-Body Computing Constellation" project led by Zhijiang Laboratory. It is worth noting that one of the satellites is named after the Boring Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) #7573, symbolizing that Web3 transcends the digital realm and enters a milestone moment for space-based computing networks. Once these 12 satellites are in orbit, they will form a stable constellation through inter-satellite laser communication, distributed computing coordination and high-speed networks. The system will support on-orbit verification of basic capabilities such as decentralized cloud computing, space blockchain construction and distributed AI processing.
