BlackRock meets with the US SEC to discuss crypto ETF pledges and options trading
According to online reports, BlackRock representatives met with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Cryptography Task Force to discuss "considerations related to facilitating ETPs with pledge capabilities" and discussed "parameters of position and exercise limits for crypto ETF options, including liquidity thresholds." The memorandum pointed out that the theme of the meeting was "Ways to deal with issues related to the regulation of crypto assets." Robert Mitchnick, head of digital assets at BlackRock, also attended the meeting. The document also mentioned that BlackRock also discussed general criteria for approving crypto ETFs. Previously, according to market news, BlackRock planned to participate in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Crypto Working Group Roundtable on May 12.
