Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen transferred approximately US$140 million worth of XRP to the trading platform in the past seven days
Online reports that online analyst ZachXBT pointed out that since July 17, a wallet long-time associated with Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen has transferred 50 million XRPs. The wallet appears to have transferred about $140 million of them to three trading platform-related addresses, and another 10 million XRPs have been deposited in two newly created wallets. The address controlled by Chris Larsen still holds approximately 2.81 billion XRPs worth approximately $9 billion. The U.S. SEC previously sued Ripple in 2020, accusing its CEO Brad Garlinghouse of personally cashing out $150 million in XRP over three years. The SEC also stated that Larsen and his spouse also sold $450 million worth of tokens between 2017 and 2020.
