The Shanghai Composite Index stood above 3800 points, setting a new ten-year high

According to online reports, A-shares continued their strong performance today, with the Shanghai Composite Index breaking through 3800 points in one fell swoop, setting a new ten-year high. At the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.45% to 3,825.76 points; the Shenzhen Composite Index rose 2.07% to 12,166.06 points; and the GEM Index rose 3.36% to 2,682.55 points. In terms of turnover, the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets traded 2.55 trillion yuan throughout the day, 122.7 billion yuan higher than the previous trading day. This is the eighth consecutive trading day that A-share turnover has exceeded 2 trillion yuan. (Financial Times)
