US court rejects Trump's civil fraud ruling, New York State Attorney General appeals
The Internet reported that on August 21, local time, the U.S. Court of Appeals of New York State rejected the verdict that U.S. President Trump was sentenced to a fine of approximately US$500 million for civil fraud. Trump posted on his social networking platform Real Social that he highly respected the court's "courage to overturn this illegal and shameful ruling" and that from a business perspective, the ruling was "an unprecedented political persecution." On the same day, the New York State Attorney General's Office filed an appeal against the Court of Appeal's dismissal of the ruling.
