Grayscale: Walrus Protocol is expected to become a core part of Sui's data layer development

On July 15, Grayscale's official X account posted a tweet introducing Walrus Protocol, a blockchain storage protocol built based on Sui. The content stated that Walrus is a novel decentralized storage solution designed to improve performance and cost-effectiveness. As more and more applications in the Sui ecosystem require storage, Walrus is expected to become a core part of the development of the network's data layer. Previously, Grayscale updated its "List of Assets to be Included" and "List of Assets Held by Existing Products", and Walrus became a newly included project in the scope of inspection. It is reported that Walrus is a new generation storage protocol created for AI Agents, on-chain applications and enterprises that process large-scale unstructured data. Whether it's pictures, videos, audio files, or dynamic metadata, Walrus can store them efficiently, securely, and economically through its distributed network of nodes.
