Google CEO Pichai's personal wealth exceeds $1 billion
Google parent company Alphabet reported revenue that exceeded expectations on Wednesday, the latest milestone in the company's explosive growth since early 2023, Internet reported. During this period, the company's market value increased by more than $1 trillion, bringing investors a return of approximately 120%. It also made CEO Sundar Pichai a billionaire. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as Alphabet's share price approaches all-time highs, 53-year-old Pichai is now worth $1.1 billion. This is a rare achievement for non-founding CEOs, especially in the technology industry, where many executives, including Meta Platforms(META.O)'s Zuckerberg and Nvidia's Huang Renxun, derive their wealth from founding stakes in their respective companies. Although Pichai was not present when Google was founded in 1998, he became the longest-serving CEO this month, and August will mark his 10th anniversary.
