Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund invests $408 million in BlackRock Bitcoin ETF
According to a 13F document released today, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund Mubadala disclosed its stake in the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) worth US$408.5 million, the Internet reported. The fund reported holding 8,726,972 shares of IBIT as of March 31, 2025, up from 8,235,533 shares reported at the end of 2024. This major move by Mubadala has injected new vitality into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which received large inflows of funds in May. On May 2, 5 and 9 alone, total collective inflows were US$674.9 million, US$425.45 million and US$334.58 million respectively, and continue to grow, including yesterday's inflow of US$319.12 million. BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF IBIT remains the first choice for institutional investors, receiving $232.46 million in inflows yesterday alone.
