Spanish lawmakers require "traffic lights"-style risk warnings for crypto assets
Internet reports that Spanish lawmakers have asked the country's financial regulators to implement a "traffic light" risk warning system for crypto assets. The system will divide crypto assets into four levels: green, yellow, orange and red based on their registration, support and supervision, as well as the stability of market performance. Green represents well-registered, supported and regulated assets; yellow represents assets with "limited support" or moderate volatility; orange represents unregulated, high-risk assets; and red is used for speculative assets that "have no clear issuer or substantial support."
