Erste Group analyst: If tariff concerns resurface, the dollar remains fragile "
According to online reports, Erste Group analysts Maurice Jiszda and Maximilian Moestl said in a report that the dollar should consolidate after its recent sharp depreciation, but if concerns about tariffs resurface, the dollar remains fragile. "Three months after the suspension of reciprocal tariffs, if the trade war escalates further, U.S. highly unpredictable trade policies could cause investors to lose confidence in U.S. assets." They say this will put new pressure on the dollar. Other factors affecting the dollar include weak U.S. economic growth data and Trump's criticism of the Federal Reserve chairman.
