Fed mouthpiece Nick Timiraos: Core PCE is expected to rise by about 0.13% in April

According to online reports, Wall Street Journal reporter Nick Timiraos, known as the mouthpiece of the Federal Reserve, posted on social media that based on a forecast model that maps CPI and PPI to PCEs, the sharp decline in portfolio management services in the producer price index (PPI) in April is expected to bring another moderate core PCE inflation reading. Core PCE growth is expected to be approximately 0.13% in April. However, due to the possible revision of March data, the year-on-year growth rate of core PCE may remain at around 2.6%.
